This track was on Alex Taïeb‘s (TYRSA) Instagram of his latest piece at the Sid Lee LA offices. First off, if you’re not following TYRSA, you need to reexamine not only your instagram feed but your entire life — the man is a typographical genius.

Wale needs to stay away from the people trying to box his artistic creativity into a specific category. I can’t understand why the industry can’t handle his neurodivergent tendencies; people love labels, and he seems to defy them as an artist in the hip-hop category without seemingly even trying (unlike so many of those that are concertedly trying to shock through lyrics, style or fashion).

I don’t really like Yo Gotti that much. But this track, for whatever reason, has an infectious hook and a lovely syncopated rhythm. If you’re like me, it’s a wicked addition to your running playlist.
